Biddenden Vineyards LtdBiddenden, Ashford, Kent
Kent's oldest family owned vineyard, producing award winning wines, ciders & apple juice.
Biddenden Vineyards is Kent's oldest family run vineyard, set up by the Barnes family in 1969. Original plantings of 1/3 acre have now grown to 22acres, with ten grape varieties being grown. White, red, rose and sparkling wines are produced by the vineyard, including the vineyard's signature wine Ortega, a fruity white wine.
The vineyard also produces the famous Biddenden Cider, a strong still cider, which is 8.4% abv. Two specialist ciders are also produced; Biddenden Monk's Delight cider and Biddenden Special Reserve Cider. Farm pressed Biddenden apple juice is made at the vineyard.
The vineyard is open to visitors throughout the year, and admission and tastings are FREE of charge. Special events include the Easter Bunny Hunt, 'Taste the Best of Produced in Kent' and our Christmas shop.
