Organic ewes' and Jersey cows' cheese
We have been milking sheep at Sunnyside Farm since 2000 and begun making cheese two years later in a converted stone barn on the farm.
We farm in a lush green valley in mid Somerset in the heart of dairy farming country. Sunnyside is a traditional farm where small meadows and orchards have remained unchanged for years. Our hedgerows and pastures support a wide range of wildlife and the variety of grasses and flowers gives a great depth of flavour and interest to the milk we produce.
We also produce Jersey cows’ milk cheese which until recently was made using milk bought in from alocal farm. However Sunnyside now has its own herd of pedigree Jerseys meaning that in the future all the cheeses will made with milk produced on the farm.

Products
Three organic ewes’ cheeses; Millstone which is a hard cheese and Little Ryding and Shepherd’s Crook both of which are soft cheeses. Two organic Jersey cows’ milk cheese; Ringwell, a semi soft wheel shaped cheese and Old Burford which is a rich and creamy soft cheese Ewes milk yoghurt; a smooth, creamy, natural yoghurt made with live culture.
